Does Ideal sex their chickes?

I'm thinking of geting 9 silkies from Ideal but I don't want any roos. When I order can I ask them to sex them?

They don't sex bantams, and Silkies are bantams. Maybe you can call them and ask, but I know you can't order them online that way.

I ordered some from them a couple weeks ago and they will not sex them. They only offer st run. I don't think any hatchery sexes bantams??

Thats good to know. But If I get too many roos what would I have to do to them?

If you will not eat them you could list them on craigslist or take them to auction.

I'm pretty sure MPC is the only hatchary in the US (if that's even where you are!) that sexes all of their chicks, INCLUDING bantams. We're planning to order with their small order policy in February.

If you live in a major city: 3 chicks is the minimum.

30 minutes away from a city: 5 is the minimum.

And more than 30 minutes: 8 is the minimum.

We're getting eight.

when does my pet chicken stop selling chicks? I know they start feb somthing but when do they end?
