Does it matter what color....

The fake eggs are, or what color the duct tape holding them together is? I am putting plastic easter eggs in the nesting boxes to show my girls what to do! Also i have wood shavings in the coop and in the nest. Is that ok?

I also am using plastic easter eggs in our nest boxes they are moving them around the nest every day. we are using yellow i dont think color matters.

P.S we are using shavings in the nest boxes also. the waiting is the hardest part.

I never used any fake eggs in my nests. When the time came the girls all seemed to think that laying in the nesting boxes was the way to go.

I have used both pine shavings and straw. We all decided that we like straw better. It is easier to clean and fluffier. The cons are that is messier.
