Does multiple coops on a single run require nesting boxes in both coops?

Hi All!

I'm building two coops on a single run. One coop is done and has 4 nesting boxes. I don't (currently) plan to buy a huge # of chickens, I've just had fun building so am building a second coop on the same run. The nesting box on the first made the construction a bit more intricate. My question is, do both coops need nesting boxes? I only plan for about 5-6 chickens to start, which 4 boxes should be fine for. Any advice is appreciatted!

I think as long as they know where they are it should be fine but all of the chickens will most likley pick one coop and all sleep together.

I have two coops in the same run. I trained them to sleep in the one I want them (one for bantams, one for standards). Several do choose to lay in the coop they do not sleep in. They will figure it out, especially if the coop with nest boxes was there first. New chickens will see where the existing ones go to lay.
