I’m not sure; it has slight hackle leakage (gold coloring) and bright yellow legs (instead of whitish)Okay well that was what it was sold to me as but my question is then what is it
Could very well be! I don't know I just think she's prettyI’m not sure; it has slight hackle leakage (gold coloring) and bright yellow legs (instead of whitish)
So maybe a mutt?
That looks like a hen to me.
The wattles so early makes me think roo...but everyone is saying pullet so..I have about eight and I have one that has a redder comb and wattles and the others don’t so I’m thinking I have a roo which is great cause I absolutely love the color of this breed and would like to hatch my own. I’m the only one crossing finger for a rooster!I have a 9 week old lavender oprington that I bought as a sexed female chick from a hatchery. Does she look like a roo? She's larger than my salmon faverolle and of course the two bantams, but I don't have another orpington to compare her to. She just seems big to me and I've wondered about her little wattles developing. Do you think she could be a rooster? In the second picture, she had just fluffed up her feathers, so she does look a little larger than she actually is in that picture.
