or is it a bad egg? I really think that my hatcher smells from previous hatches. I have bleached and lysoled it between last year and this year. I have a batch in lockdown and I am smelling a hint of the bad egg smell, but I am afraid to open the 'bator. I smelled each egg before putting in lockdown, and there was one that could have had a hint of the nasty smell. I don't want any to explode. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I did candle right before lockdown...I couldn't see anything. My nose is usually pretty good. The one that was iffy is off in a corner by itself, I just don't want to open up the hatcher and let all the humidity out.

It's going to have a bit of an odor if you have chicks currently hatching, due to the chicks, egg shells, and blood from the chicks during the hatch.
