Those are some photos, they don't match what I see online as fireblight for pears, but I don't know what else it would be. Anyone have any experience with this?

At first I thought it was sunburn or gopher damage, I’d say at least two months ago I first noticed it. The new growth seems to look okay, but it goes dark over time.My gardener mother's thoughts: Not systemic, probably not fire blight. She'd treat it for a fungal infection.
Good luck. Out of curiosity, how fast did it spread?
