Does not show muff anymore

hello everyone im here to ask if the ear and beard muff on Easter eggers disappear for a while and come back later as grown feathers,I have a easter egger chick that had down muffs but as he grew it disappeared and I whant to know of they'll grow back or not

As you can see by this picture he doesn't have the muff anymore

From your first picture it looks like the feathers have been picked off.

Could it be by other chicks?

Chicks go through some ugly phases, from cute babies, to sleek adolescents, and some temporarily loose muffs during that time. It's also possible that another bird is pecking those feathers off, so you will have to see how things develop.
