I have various Orpington chicks (blue, laced, cuckoo) and I've noticed that my oldest one first got wing feathers, then on the head and then the ones on the body started to appear. Meanwhile i have younger chicks who's feathers also grew on the wings first now they're getting some around on the sides of the chest area while the head feathers haven't started to grow yet.
The 1st oldest chick is a golden laced btw and the younger chicks getting body feathers before the head feathers are blue ones.

I just want to find out if the different ways they're feathering has something to do with the parents genetics, gender, the fact that they're different variations or something else.
