Does run shape matter?

Quote:
4' and 8' are standard building material dimensions.
If you go with 4 X 6, you'll end up having to buy material that's oversized, and then have to cut it

For the walls, but then I have to get an extra sheet, and cut it to get enough overhang for the roof if I go with 4x8. 4x6' saves me a sheet of siding, which seems to be the most expensive material, but yeah, these are all the things that are keeping me from making up my mind.
