Does sand attract earthworms?

I need to avoid earthworms for parasite reasons. If I put sand in their run, do earthworms stay out of it? Thanks

Earthworms generally like moist dirt and soil so they will probably stay out of dry sand.

I have used sand in my run for years. Never an earthworm in there. Sand isn’t their thing.

Earthworms like leaf litter soil, so they will definitely stay out of sandy areas.
