I purchased four unsexed white crested black polish chicks from a local feed store three weeks ago. Now two of them are almost twice the size of the other two, all seemed the same size for the first week. Is this any sign that the two larger may be roosters? Thanks ahead of time for any info.

Roosters can grow quicker in size, they tend to feather out slower and on the polish the crest will be more flowing, where a hen will have a more controlled hairdo.

The crest on the two larger ones seems to be a little flatter for lack of a better desc. and is starting to get some black in it also. In a couple of weeks I will try and post a pic or two. Thanks
