does the type of light matter for egglaying?

If I add supplemental lighting to my coop to enhance egglaying, does it matter what type of light?

I guess sunlight is best, but short of that, is a regular incandescent, a compacrt flourescent, a red heat lamp,or a simulated sunlight bulb best.?

And why?

I would like to add just a little bit of time to their days, understanding that nature wants them to rest a bit.
