Does this chick have splayed legs?

Thank you Eggcessive, again you've been very helpful!

Dec 19th...."CC" was suspected of having Splayed Legs, Slipped Tendon and/or Curly Toe Paralysis. Checked for ST which wasn't what she was "suffering" from. SL high possibility but her curling toes made me treat for CTP. Thanks to a BYC member was able to locate PolyVisol Vitamin without iron. She got 3 drops a day with boiled egg yolk mixed in her feed. I was so very discouraged with the roller coaster changes, thought of culling her (lack of quality of life).

Jan 8th....I'm glad I listened to my heart instead of my head. This is "CC" today

Thank you ALL for your advice and support!

Feet look fine......gait is odd, maybe because lack of 'practice'...or could be neurological.
Hope it continues to improve.

He looks good now that he is walking. Maybe try adding a similar sized friend to keep him company which will also stimulate him to walk more. Watch that he doesn't get picked on though. Good luck.

She seems to be "pigeon" toed but standing and walking (shaky) is the improvement I was looking for. Hopefully it's not neurological, if it is hopefully it remains "minor".

I'm thinking the same thing but she & the rest of the Micro (36) hatches go back to their Owner this weekend. Thought CC would be a house pet & not able to join a flock but now there are possibilities. There is another chick that looks exactly like CC although 2x size, she too is very mellow and calm. Thinking of trying them together (supervised), there are another two that may work. To me Seramas are 'hyper' :) prefer my LF breeds. Even Hubby's amazed at the improvement but not enough to say we can keep her :(

I put another chick with HIM (saw red on the comb & wattles starting), that must be his sister (looks exactly alike but 2x size), she's calm. HE attached her, she stood there stunned. He even challenges my Chi, ha ha. Spunky is what CC is for sure. Did great outside today while I cleaned the brooder, he hung out in the patio, don't care to be in the yard. Think needs more exercise, stronger on feet although 'pigeon toed'. Thoughts of keeping but being a Roo is definitely going back to the Owner :(

Territoriality can start young.
