I've had it too and it's as good as the cake underneath the "litter" - in my case, very tasty : 9
The "litter" is just cake crumbs tinted with food coloring and sprinkled very thickly on top the frosted cake beneath.

birdaholic - I sure hope you meant chicken droppings on your compost - cat poop - or that from any carnivore - is NOT good compost

Made it for Halloween and was a huge hit!! Don't forget to spread newspaper out to place under it, great effect.

I made one once for a large group of people who were sort of ticked off we had a cat in the building that would occasionally wander through the dining room. I set it in the corner on the floor before they arrived for dinner. Someone noticed and complained. I apologized profusely, picked it up, stuck my finger in it and said "Mr. T is obviously not getting enough fiber", set it on the table and walked away. The reaction was pretty funny!

Yes, I did feel kind of bad afterwards but 8 years later I think it's really funny.
