He can mate with them if they let him. But then again they may just put JR [Duckie] in his place too since he is the youngest and won't be the dominant drake. it won't hurt the females to mate this time of year. In some parts of the world mating, brooding and hatching goes on year-round.
Plus you don't want to put Duckie right in with this group anyway. Give them time to get to know each other buy keeping them close but not where they can actually touch.

Nope and the best way to keep the population from growing is to just take eggs up daily. Eat them or give them away.[the eggs]
