Does this happen/has this happened to anyone else??
I'll be inside doing something and randomly hear my chickens making noise when no one else in my family can. My little sister has learned that if we're doing something and I randomly tell her to be quiet it's because I hear my chickens. My hearing isn't the best and it definately isn't the best out of my family. so I'll go out to the coop and sure enough the chickens are clucking on about something.

I'll also be miles away from home and think I hear my chickens frantically screaming for me. (they have a specific call they use for me that I learned after a while) and I feel like I need to go help them. It's quite annoying but I don't know why it happens.

This does happen to me as well. I guess maybe it is just the brain picking up on small differences that it has learned to listen for?

this happens occasionally. Usually only if I spent a lot of time with them earlier that day

YESSSSS

No it doesn't happen to me. If you've ever been to a sizeable poultry show or chicken auction and heard when all the birds get making a fuss and having crowing contest. That's what my place sounds like. I've either gotten used to it or learned to block it out.
I still hear them mostly constantly but not at the level they're at. Many times someone on the phone with me seems to hear them more then I do.

I think I hear them at night when I step outside to listen- even at 2 AM - I swear they can hear me quietly open the door and know I'm standing there - 50 feet away - I hear thumping and a tiny voice - but maybe I don't.
