Does this Japanese have short legs?

Not as short as they should be. You shouldn't be able to see under a Jap. A rule of thumb is about 3/4 inch between foot & feather.

Is she still showable? Or are they super long?

It would depend on the type of show. In a county fair where they were judged by someone other than a licensed judge she might be ok.
In an APA sanctioned she she could be disqualified. The first entry under General Disqualifications is "specimen lacking in breed characteristics". Since an identifying breed characteristic of the Japanese Bantam is the extremely short leg it would not be unreasonable to disqualify her.

Here are a few of mine. Some of mine have long legs like yours, other very short. I show them and know the short ones are the best for shows. But I like the longer legged ones. They just seem more in proportion and they also don't get all the wing feathers dirty if its been raining.

He is a mix between a 'ginger' and 'wheaten'.

I usually let all the colours mix and breed together as I like to see what colours I get! My last batch of chicks are nearly adult now and I have a stunning black rooster with bright yellow legs, red/gold neck feathers and chocolate brown tail feathers with black edges!

How is your hen doing? Are you going to get some more?

He is so gorgeous! As for Akira, she is doing pretty well! I am not getting any more because I mainly want layers. I wasn't even going to get her but one of my buttercup chicks died and the person I was ordering with got sent some extras so she gave me that one!!
