Does this look like a broody to you?

I really love the names of your chickens, Trisha!

Goose, a RIR, is still sitting on the eggs. It's like they're taking turns. Goose isn't acting like Turkey was. When they go broody is it just one day they're normal and the next they're full on broody and hateful? Or is it like they sit on the eggs and as time goes by they get more and more grumpy?

If they're just starting out, mine take a couple of days to go full out broody. Your RIR probably hopped up there to lay an egg while the EE was out getting a drink and a bite to eat. Since the EE is low on the pecking order, she's not likely to get back on the nest until the RIR leaves it. Or she'll get in a different nest.

Now a Barred Rock, may be the same one that was sitting on them last night is sitting on them and she is mean. She pecked me so hard she left a mark. I'm so confused.
