Does this look like a egg problem? Or?

Thank you, Kathy. It definitely looks a bit bloody in person, but it isn't the cecal poop.
She's now on day 5 of 7 of the amoxicilllin.
The vet did tap fluid from her abdomen, which involved putting a needle into her abdomen through both sides of her body, so I wonder if this could be related?
She's really not eating much now, either.

I guess it's kind of a wait and see situation...
Probably not related directly to the tap. I've drained a few hens with ascites and haven't noticed any blood afterwords, but it might be possible. I hate to say it, but not eating is a *really* bad sign. Has the vet called back?

Still waiting on the vet...I might call again but I know they're really busy.
I wouldn't say she's not eating at all, but she's not eating much.
She only seems interested in dried crickets!

Try some soft scrambled eggs.
When did you last worm her and what did you use?
Is she acting sick? did you know that it is quite normal for birds to shed their intestinal lining and it may be what is going on at this time

Thanks Zaz! I'll try the eggs on her.
She has never been wormed, but her vet tested her for everything and she has no parasites.

The vet's office did call back, and told me to stop giving her the anti-inflammatory they had prescribed (Meloxicam). We'll see how she does...

This is true.

Well, she has this multi-layered egg in her uterus that won't come out, and an infection. Her abdomen was full of fluid which was compressing her lungs so she couldn't breathe, and pushing all of her organs into places they weren't supposed to be. So she had internal inflammation - probably uterine - and certainly discomfort. Now that the fluid is drained, her vet is trying to fight the infection, and relieve the swelling and pain.

As usual, well said! And I should add that yes, fecals can be false negatives, but I don't think worms are causing any issues at this point.

Very graphic necropsy pictures! Note: this is *not* my hen!
I imagine it took quite a while for this to happen
