Does this look like a egg problem? Or?

Thanks for asking about Squeaky!
I haven't seen her yet today, but I'm on the lookout.
Yesterday she looked a little droopy, but so did everyone else - they were all soaked!
Rain at last...

I've seen her now and she really looks good (but wet) today!

Well, her vet says she may have more fluid buildup, and I can take her in to get tapped again.
But the vet said there's no way to know if things would settle down after that, or if the fluid would return.
I'm not sure if it's better to just leave her alone than to put her through the trauma of going to the vet and getting tapped again (it's a one hour drive each way)...
Is this what she has?

Thank you for that link, Yoda.
She's actually not exactly egg-bound, because the egg is stuck in her uterus.
She's actually looking really bad the last few days, I think she's on her way out.

I am curious how much did the vet say it would cost to remove the egg? If you do not want to post it here please PM me. Wish I could help her...

Poor Squeaky, she's such a sweet girl, I hate to see her looking bad.

Yoda - My vet doesn't do this surgery. She guessed that the nearest vet who could do a hysterectomy on Squeaky would charge up to $1500, and Squeaky might not have survived the surgery. I did not contact the other vet, so this may be very incorrect.

I would not let her suffer any more .
Did you ever asked the vet if she came threw this could it happen again? i have always culled my birds when they got down with internal laying thinking if i pulled them threw they could go threw it again.

The surgery would remove the egg/mass and her repro parts, so it wouldn't happen again, she'd be spayed. :D
