Ok I saw this egg laid today by one of my Cornish Cross pullets. I am making sure that I know *for sure* that it is fertile.

Please tell me what you think. I am so excited about this!!

OMG I'm practically doing backf flips I am so excited about this. I have never seen my rooster breed my Cornish cross so I wasn't completely sure he was getting the job done.

Thanks to a pal on chat I am getting a incubator!!! Today finished my pen and house just for my cornish cross and so I'll seperate them tonight and start gethering their eggs to hatch out. I can justify this with my husband cause we can eat them. But really I am very excited to see growth rate because these are Meatie X Meatie. Cornish cross x Colored Ranger.

When I hatch them out I will be doing very strict growth chart and keeping track of food consumption, growth rate and, of course, behavior. I am hoping to up the growth rate of the ranger genetics while giving the cornish cross more longevity, plus an over all meatier, healthier meat bird.
