Does this look like a rooster?

There are differences between yours and mine but yours are the closest i got . The black feathers on yours are a turqoise on mine, but the faces and the bodie slook the same, might actually be more dark brown. I was told mine were americaunas. (ee) their feet are yellow, the boys' tails are getting curly in a weird side to side way. I think they are pretty but i wish i had something to compare them to!

I am fascinated with the Ameraucana breed and read all I could from the Ameraucana breeders site. From what I read Ameraucana's have blue/slate legs. All of em.
Who ever knows what we are getting huh?
The woman I got my 6 reds from was a sweet little Guatemalan lady who was very difficult to communicate with. I told my husband that for all we know our chickens could be part duck. lol! She had a real free for all going on at her place. But these were our very first chickens so we didn't care.
Now I have one week old chicks that I picked out and ordered weeks ago. 5 easter eggers and 5 barred rocks. Looking forward to having a very colorful flock one day.
If I can ever convince my husband to build me another chicken coop I want to get Ameraucana chicks from a breeder off the Ameraucan breeders website.
I tend to go a little overboard so I am trying to control myself.

I say they are pullets. Just for comparison I've included pics of my Heritage RIR's back when they were just 6wks old. Note the difference in the comb and wattles of each and the shorter tail of the cockerel.

I've still got alot to learn I would have thought that at least two of them were cockerals! /doh!

I don't have much experience, but they look like pullets to me. I feel like even from a pretty early age (8 or 9 weeks) the tail feathers are the big giveaway -- the roos start getting the curving sickle feathers already. Or am I imagining that?

They all look like pullets to me, with the very slight possibility of the bottom photo, far left chicken. I think that's a pullet too, but I wouldn't be upset if someone proved me wrong on that one. I'd be VERY surprised if that happened with the others! They're all very girly.

Well you all have made my day! In about two months I will be posting pics of my newest batch of chicks wondering if they are roos or hens. lol! Thank you!
