So far so good, I started giving them oyster shell and now there aren't broken eggs. No snakes sighted either

I hate snakes too! LOL Told hubby he had to line the predator proofed stall with 1/4" hardware cloth, inside the 1/2" hardware cloth because the Black racer Snakes here can climb and are aggressive. Missouri has tons of these darn Black Racer Snakes. Wish they'd stick to eating mice outside. We were doing a comprehensive rehab of our farm house and had one FALL OUT OF THE BASEMENT CEILING on my son when he pulled down the ceiling drywall! Poor kid. It was the first piece of drywall we pulled down that day at 8 am, and we all had so much adrenaline we got that half of the basement demoed in haf the time as the front half the day before LMBO
