Yep angel wing.I didnt know anything like that existed until I raised my gosling's.2 of them got it one bad on both wing's Thus his name Angelo.I was new to the whole Goose thing and had never had any problems with my duck's.I didnt even know about the taping the wing's then.I have read a lot about it since.I never feed any of my birds game feed now.

I know that too much protein is one theory of why ducks get angel wing. I am current feeding Flock Raiser, which I've had no problem with in the past, but this year have a number of ducks with angel wing. They are about 6 weeks old now and I'm thinking of switching over to Purina All Flock, which has less protein. O have a few questions... Does anyone else feed All Flock? I can't find if it has niacin in it. Does anyone know? How long do ducks need to have niacin? Should there be any problems switching over to pellets at 6 weeks? I've waited longer in the past. Thanks! I know that was a lot of questions.

We mix Turkey grower pellets 18% (which is a game bird feed from "Blue Seal") with Chick grower mash 15%. We do 2 parts Chick grower mash to one part Turkey grower pellets. This is for our 4 week old ducklings and 3 week old goslings. They were growing too fast on the 20% crumble feed, so we came up with this mix and everyone seems to be happy with it.
