Does this look like blue maran feathers to you?

Chick is about 3 ish weeks old. Sold to me as a blue maran. Is this normal initial feathering? I have another one that is much more solid blue but I think it’s a boy.

I don't think so.... here is my French Blue (maybe Blue Copper?) Marans at about 4 weeks.

Right. That’s more of what my other one looks like. This one looks more... olive egger-y to me.

Sorry, it does not look like a blue Marans. Not sure what it could be, maybe a mix.

Yeah I don't think so, but remember the roosters have much different feathering. Their back and neck and stuff are all different colors.

Where did you purchase it from? That's some very odd feathering. I could automatically say it's not blue, but some feathers on it's back seem to be! @Overo Mare, isn't this weird?

Unfortunately large and red for its age just went out and looked. I’d get another pic if my legs didn’t get attacked when I got near

It was TOTALLY blue as a smaller chick. I got it from a local swap. I got 2 olive eggers and 3 maran. One splash and 2 blue. I could always very easily tell them apart the OE’s being brown, the splash being yellow and the blues being.. blue lol. And now this?! Very curious. The other blue is very blue still.
