Does THIS mean we have too many chickens ?!-----The "skinny" revealed.

Heck, no! I would love to have that many chickens. I have 29 Hens and 2 roosters and 28 eggs being set on my broodies. Planning on ordering about 25 come spring. I get about 15-20 a day now that the light is waning. Got around 28 a day before. Our church holds a breakfast once a month for members and I will donante eggs. I do have a full size fridge in the garage just for my eggs. There just wasn't enough room in the house for food and eggs!

I love my chickens, but I wouldn't want that many with the way feed prices have been going.

I have 38 and 42 eggs in the bator and 30 more eggs on the way.....

As long as you can sell, eat or donate the eggs, and can feed them then whose to say of you have too many

Everyone is curious to know how many chickens jim and janet have but if you look at their signature line it says they have "so far 8 girls", that was as of Jan 29 2008.

So it 7 and a half months they must have gotten alot more laying hens/pullets or grew some chicks.
Or they have just been saving them up to do one big cleaning.

I hope he answers soon because it looks like the suspense is killing people!
