Amazing rooster been gone over a week

The hens will be fertile for 2 weeks. Lost my beautiful roster to frost bite of the comb and I guess the hens thought it was something to eat. Anyway I had just read about the hens being fertile for two weeks, I collected 11 eggs and hatched them after the dad was deceased for 12 days.
