Does wing sexing work on silkies?

I heard some place the big hatcheries wint sex day old chicks by checking their wing feathers. If they were all one size they were boys and girls have some that werent the same size. Does this work on 1 or 2 day old silkie chicks? I checked my little one this morning and its wing feathers are all the same size.

It only works if the gene is bred into them...sorry.

That would be so awesome !!! The best way to sex a silkie is when it lays or crows !!
