Does your rooster (if you have one) do the ‘Rooster Dance’?

You are probably wondering (if you don’t know already) what is the rooster dance?

The ‘Rooster Dance’ is a move/dance thing a rooster does before it wants to mate with the hen and the hen will notice and agree. Although not all roosters do this... mostly the more mature roosters do this move—without doing this dance before mating, roosters will just jump on the hens back and startle them and try and get away. The rooster of course doesn’t want to let the hen get away so he’ll dig and grip harder into the hens back—this leads to feather plucking. That’s why with some flocks that have a rooster the hens backs are bare with no feathers and now you know why that is.

Oh yes, Harvey the great white rabbit (from the movie, actually my rooster), does a beautiful and effective dance for the ladies! I see it all the time. :gig
