Dog agility

I have a 6 month old golden retriever puppy. I want to start her on agility courses. But i heard that i can really hurt her by doing jumps over 1ft because of her age. And what other things should i put in the course.(jumps, tunnels, and ramps) is that all?

Can you see if you have any local dog clubs near you? I'm going to do agility with my puppy, and there's a dog club about an hour from me that does lessons. They require that dogs be at least 10 months old to take the novice class, but they offer an agility foundation class for all age dogs to teach the basic things that will be needed to be successful with agility. Maybe you could find something like that, since your pup is still a bit too young to do agility maneuvers that will put stress on her growing body.

You should be able to register her under the AKC Canine Partners program, and that will allow her to compete in dog sports

Your Vet will possibly know about age and certain training ages . Train her to pose for photographs .

Our son , a amateur photographer among other professions , has a Australian Shepherd that he has trained to pose . If i were on my other computer about 90 miles away i'd do a pic or two of Boy Blue posing .

He will hop up on a 30" table , a stack of lumber or a log or even in a wheelbarrow to get his picture taken .
