Dog allergic to chickens

Not too sure what to do about this yet. I will move them further apart from each other as soon as I can get a fence up. Still the dog's title is "Best Dog EVER" and I would hate for him to continue being uncomfortable.
 
Ouch! That's a hard one! Poor animals.

Is it an airborne allergy? Is it from eating feathers or chicken poop? Was it diagnosed by your vet?
 
It is probably from the dander, but we haven't done any allergy testing yet, too expensive right now. But, we are pretty sure it is the chickens. The vet put him on steroids to get through until I could move the chickens.

Good tidbit to know: sooner or later all dogs exposed to cedar develop allergies. The first thing the vet asked me is if the dogs lay on cedar beds.
