are they drinking? if so, try to mix in they're food with water. They might see that their is water in it, and MIGHT eat it. I never really had this problem, so I'm suggesting stuff that MIGHT work. So I'm not 100% but it'd be worth a tryOn Monday 11-11-2024, 2 Pit Bulldogs got into my duck yard. they killed 5 ducks right off. 2 ducks got into the pond and kept diving to get away, but, eventually, they were caught. They survived the attack, but one was so badly hurt (his top bill was ripped off) that I had to put him down. That broke my heart. The other one was brought into the house, but she died about 11 pm. The 4 that were left are now in my ad hoc Duck ICU on my kitchen table. I'm attaching a few photos. One of the duck's right wing just hangs down. I have it taped to her body with alligator skin tape.
The most urgent situation I have is that 2 of the ducks are barely eating. The other 2 only want to eat mealworms. I have read some posts and will try the syringe feeding. Could you please give me some guidance on how much to feed and how often? These are Pekin ducks and are rather large. I have been putting them into the bathtub for about 20 minutes in the morning. (I put 2 in at the same time and use this time to clean their large tote and put down fresh bedding.) ANY advice would be welcome, and all questions will be answered.
