I just let my four 10 week old chicks out into the fenced half acre with the big flock yesterday. All seemed to be going well.....except a little while ago one of the Salmon Faverolle pullets was missing.

Just found it in my neighbor's yard, getting attacked by their LARGE dog. It has some punctures and who knows what else. It is awake and alert but flops around if it tries to move. I have it in the house in a tub in the extra bedroom. The attack was maybe 20 minutes ago.....

Anything I should be doing?

[eta: my yard is fenced, I think it squeezed through the mesh to get out.....]

No, she is just laying there (on her belly, like a hen would be laying an egg). She swishes her tail back and forth here and there. This just happened so I dont even have any food in there, just water. She hasn't moved from where I set her in the tub.

anybody?

She is still alive, just laying in the tub. Cheeping a bit.

Should I move her sister in with her? This chicken has never been a genius and I wonder if she may be less fearful with a buddy? She is not bleeding openly....just laying in there.

Is she eating or drinking anything? It might be better if she had a buddy with her. Is she still not getting up and moving?

Pretty sure she has not eaten. No poop in there either. She drank a little water last night when she had ended up near that side of the tub. Not sure what to do with her.....I have just been leaving her alone, but she is not moving at all. Just laying in the same spot she was in last night.

I put her sister in with her. She did go and drink quite a bit when I moved the water closer. She is not eating.....her sister ate for a long time right next to her and she never even looked like she wanted any food. She is still not able to move well. I have to assume a back or leg injury as she is not able to stand or balance...kind of flops around to get where she wants to go.

What should I do now?

Sorry I can not help you. One of the more experienced writers needs to give you advice. Have you added anything to the water? Check the other questions about dog attacks, one of them may tell you what to do. Good luck.
