My flock was attacked in their coop at night a couple days ago. I think a mink or weasel squeezed in. We’re fixing the coop and will be putting everyone back in it soon — right now they’re all living in my basement!

Three chickens were killed. Four of my ducks are pretty injured. I’ve got them isolated from the flock. I’ve cleaned their wounds (back of the head/neck) and I think barring infection they’ll recover, hopefully… Except one I’m most concerned about: she is very unsteady and can’t properly walk/stand. She holds her head back and to the side. I assume neurological damage if she was dragged around by her head. I’ve started giving her some metacam to see if that makes her more comfortable.

Does anyone have advice on what else, if anything, I can do for her, besides letting her rest and hoping?

Oh, I’m so sorry this happened to you. How sad. Keeping them inside and quiet and resting is very good and you cleaned the wounds just wondering what did you use? You can clip away any feathers from around the wound that might get trapped in while healing and use antibiotic ointment that does not contain a pain relief. Keep the wounds moist as they heal with the ointment. Is your sick duck eating at all? If not, she may need tube feeding. I would give some good vitamins in the water like nutridrench or recover 911 that’s a good one with electrolytes .
May want to consider an antibiotic, especially for the one that is hurt the worst. Do you have any antibiotics on hand?

Baytril (enrofloxacin) a good antibiotic and many places still sell it online I can give you information on the dosage if you get that or some other antibiotic that Ducks can have like amoxicillin
