Ok, so yesterday I woke up to mom cussing (Rare) so I knew something was wrong. She told me those effing German shepherds were out again. Anyway, getting to the point. It's late the next day and one hen is dead and one is injured. Yesterday she could stand and walk and the only thing that was abnormal is her low energy and the missing feathers. She even laid a normal egg! But today she can barely stand. I haven't given her electrolyte because my phone won't work and doesn't show any recipes. She has little wounds on her back and I have been rinsing them with saline. Dogs are really and truly gone. Her wounds are not bad they look good and are so minor a flockmate could have done it, but that's unlikely. Anyway, please post some recipes for electrolyte!! Thanks!!

How is she doing?

I'd put a little triple antibiotic ointment on her wounds too. If you need to keep the wound a little cleaner and easier to treat, you can trim the feathers away from the wounds.

For a small batch of electrolytes, you can mix 1tsp sugar to 1 cup water, then stir in a pinch of salt and baking soda.

I'm sorry to hear you are still having trouble with those dogs. I sure hope they are taken care of soon.

the whole neighborhood was out with rifles and ATVs. sheriff was out looking and animal control was.. somewhere. one neighbor got a shot at them but missed and they ran home and the owners PUT THEM IN THE PEN?! Animal control went over there and said that the dogs had been digging under the pen which is dumb because the fence is 6 inches above their heads. animal control left and the next day mom told them that this was the second time they had been out and the second chicken they'd killed. animal control said they mysteriously didn't know the dogs had been out before.

No matter, the dogs have gone to the Pound.

oh-yeah. sorry. She's doing okay. about the same as yesterday. she yells at you if you don't pet her when you walk by, and her poops look watery, but ok.

Yes and yes. Poor Stilts is going outside despite her condition. I can't do anything about it.
That's o.k.
You need to do what Mom asks.
Now. Think about where you can place Stilts so she has deep shade and can easily get to food/water, where's she's somewhat protected if the flock picks on her. They may not, but you'll want to monitor her.
Do check her wound and care for that daily, you don't want flies to lay eggs on the wounds.

You've got this :hugs
