Dog Attack - Possible broken foot?

Hello -

I am new to chickens and can't seem to find a vet available today within reasonable distance for help.

My 5 month old girl was attacked by a dog last night (did not witness event). She has lost about 1/2 her feathers and wont stand up, but otherwise seemingly "ok". I have her separated from the other girls, but she has obvious limp, doesnt want to stand at all, and it seems her toes are broken/crooked.

Is this something I can treat at home?

As long as nothing is seriously broken she should heal with rest and time.

Just got back from vet and so glad I did! She doesn’t have a broken foot. She had two major puncture wounds from canine bite. It was right above her hip bone so betweeen exhaustion and the placement, she isn’t ready to stand. She received 12 stitches and hope she is on the mend. Sorry for the graphic photo!

It's nice you found a vet to help. Hopefully she heals up fine. Chickens are pretty good at it.
