Dog attack this a.m. -- need advice ASAP

Okay. I am going to try. Nothing like this has happened before and it is so upsetting. I could strangle the dog, although I know it's just instinct.

I am going to bring her inside in a dog carrier. I have some Save-A-Chick, baby aspirin and Neosporin. I was thinking of bandaging her, but apparently that wasn't a good idea. I think I will scramble her some eggs.

Thanks, everyone.

Update: I realized that the injury was too great and decided to euthanize her.

Stumpy, you should look at the photos of the chickens I had that were attacked by my neighbor's dog. They were missing large patches of skin and muscle down to the bone in places, and both bounced back and are productive hens.

So very sorry for your loss... she is not in pain now and I commend you for your decision.. you put her interests first.

Thanks everyone. I had a better look at her and the injury was much worse than I realized. She was becoming colder, even with additional heat and was just in total shock, I think. I really think it was best to end her suffering. I just feel bad because it was preventable.
