Poor dear, It's hard to tell what is going on with the leg just yet. When Ellie was attacked in May it turned out she had a dislocation in her foot (she too was laying down) but it wasn't life altering once splinted and healed. Deal with the shock and stress first. Do not delay in getting her to a warm comfy safe quiet spot if she's still not been moved. Ack - I just realized you said the attack was 2 nights ago!! JJ

yeah, I think she should be out of shock by now. How would I go about splinting the foot? I think there is something wrong with it and that is why she isn't moving around.

It depends on where the injury is. I took Ellie to the vet - he missed it the first time around but her dislocation became more obvious in the days afterward so I brought her back in and he examined and splinted/bandaged it. The problem was mostly her main/middle toe.

Your girl isn't actively bleeding I assume. If you don't suspect internal injury she may benefit from having pain relief. 1 baby aspirin (no substitute drug unless confirmed okay for chickens) per cup of drinking water, fresh batch at least once daily.

If she goes to the vet, and he/she suggests/prescribes Metacam, also an antiinflammatory, I would remove the aspirin..

Thanks, I will try that. I can't see anywhere that her leg may be injured. If I prop her up on it she can stand up, so it will hold her weight, it is just when she tries to move it is like her toes go limp and curl under her. I tried wiggling them to see if I could tell where a break may be, but I can't seem to find one. They bend fine and have tension that doesn't allow them to bend the wrong way or anything.
She is inside with electrolytes in her water, eating an egg a day for the extra protein. I have had to bathe and blow dry her a couple times since her back feathers get poopy from not moving. She is in good spirits, hopefully the baby asprin will help. Thanks, I will update after I try that tonight.
Haven't been able to find an avian vet that takes chickens. Guess we aren't in the country enough, plus I don't think they understand people keep them as pets too. They see a bird that costs at most 15 bucks to replace and that is it.
