**It should be assumed in anything I post that going to a vet is not on the table.**

I had 2 dogs get into my chicken pen. They dug under the fencing. My dog went and gave them a what for but it didn't help the one hen that was I think got dragged out under the fence. I didn't find any blood or bite marks on her but her neck is bent. She can still move it and eat. It's been a few days, the first two days she didn't get up on the stoop but eventually she has. It's been a little over 2 weeks now and she is holding her head up more and doing better. But I notice that she seems to be losing a lot of feathers around her back end. Is this normal, should I be concerned?

Do you have pictures of the feather loss? Could the others be pecking out her feathers, or perhaps she is starting to molt because of the trauma? I had a hen chased and hurt by a dog, and she started molting within a day or two. They also stop laying during the molt for a month or more.

For her crooked neck, also called wry neck, you can treat that with human vitamin E 400 IU daily and some thiamine found in most chicken vitamins and in 1/4 tablet daily of B complex. The B complex is below at a good price, and the vitamin E would be in the same aisle:
