Boy went to get mail today and got bit three times in rapid succession. Involved both legs. He is limping a bit, and understating discomfort. Now we have to make changes needed to prevent repeat. This over flow from we having dogs to protect chickens ourselves.

Hope the boy will be okay. It was one of your dogs and you know it not to have rabies, I gather. I hope the "changes" involve getting rid of this dog so no one else gets bitten.
We are going to arrange in the coming days where neighbors dogs and my kids get to know each other. Upon further discussion with son and neighbor, boy did what he should have to avoid bites. Only one of two dogs actually bit boy.

Neighbor does very good job of maintaining dogs he has. They are being trained to guard which is part that worries me a bit when they go off when not supposed, like in this situation. Neighbor was present and called dog off verbally when it attacked.

I will be present next time to help out. I have been bitten by many critters, but never a dog. If dog does not make adjustments, then we will push for it being reassigned.

Boy not overly traumatized and did not hesitate to go back and talk to neighbor. Both kids really tough. He riding back back to location of attack by himself.

I'm with you. But if I've got it correct, neighbors dog bit boy. Boy ok. Boys parent should have called police ASAP.
Here is how it is. It is a situation that has occurred and is being resolved by parties being amicable to each other as they are and intend to be long term good neighbors, Yes, the approach goes contrary to the sue them all and go crazy approach that employs a lot of emotional hate mongering in the process.
