I think the dna test is right!You could be right. The DNA test was right about my purebred Saint Bernard, who sadly passed away.
But I'd also say, he is rather overweight. His quality of life will really improve if you restrict his food intake, and you'll help alleviate the pain of inevitable arthritis, especially since he is older and a heavier breed.
Call it British directness!I wanted to say that too, but it does offend some people. LOL
Overweight dogs usually have their life span docked off at least 2 years. Diabetes can happen too, as well as a few pounds off would help with arthritis and general mobility of a senior dog.
