I love my Border Collie, but have decided that I am addicted to Kelpies. My 'fav' right now is Coulter, my Border Collie/Kelpie mix - talk about an intense dog!
My best dog ever was Chatter, my working bred Sheltie. I can't find another like her anywhere. She was awesome. The BC's and kelpies remind me of her sometimes.
On my wish list is an Australian Coolie. Someday......

Irish wolfhounds have always been my favorite, though I grew up with dalmations and german shepherds.
Jax, our german shepherd pup, is winning me back over to the GSD camp again.
Still would own a wolfhound in a heartbeat, if I could afford one.

Awww! We had a border terrier for 15 years and he was a character. I competed with him in Obedience and we got to go to St Louis for the Invitational one year. We had lots of fun. Now it's border collies. I have 2 retired from obedience and 2 that I work on sheep. Herding is sooo challenging and fun. In fact we were out there in the heat and humidity at 7 this morning. The perfect start to the day!

Irish Wolfhounds by far. I have bred and shown them since the 70's. I swear they are a person in a dog's body. Gentle when stroked fierce when provoked. This breed was held in high regard by Julius Caesar, only allowed to be owned by royalty in Ireland. Serfs would let their females out when the king's IWs were hunting, hoping to end up with a lurcher to hunt with. Several of mine have been therapy dogs with an empathy most humans would envy. I have a boarding/grooming facility, so I am in contact with most breeds of dogs=====but there is nothing like an IW.

.But now we have a corgi/cardigan cross. She is definitly not as fat as a pembroke and is very lean and strong but still has short legs.

I love my corgis. I have a 4 year female corgi and I love her to death. She can be a brat but oh well. Her name is Mini Me because when she was a puppy she could be very stubborn and I unfortunately can be like that.

She loves to sleep in this chair in my parent's bedroom.

This is not the best picture of her but I still like it.
