What can I do to keep my dog (he's a puppy) from eating my baby chickens?
German Shepherd border collie. We will put them together when we are home and he is good with them but when we leave that is when he gets them.First, keep them physically separate, with 2 barriers between them. Next, figure out how to train your dog to leave them alone. Depending on your dog's breed an prey drive, this could be doable, or super difficult. Not letting your dog practice behaviors you don't want him to do is part of this. Don't let him fixate on them.
