Okay, I just got off the phone with the pet hospital. They said that the vomiting of blood does sound concerning, so she should be brought in for an examination.

We will do that as soon as we can.

What color and texture was the blood? Can you post a pic? Was it bright red like when you cut yourself or blackish like a scab? When is the last time she ate and what do you feed her?

I honestly dont know the texture. My dad witnessed it, not me.

She did eat shortly before she vomited. Dog food, I think.

Well, I have to agree with you guys there. She is a pretty girl. Her name is Lady Bird. We got her when she was a puppy 10 years ago. She always played tug-of-war with my pants while I was wearing them. She ruined five pairs of pants.

She grew out of that habit, though.

She is a good dog.

Go to er vet asap. Do not wait. I had a black lab years ago who swallowed a piece of a cow hoof treat and it pierced his stomach. He threw up blood several times and had to have surgery to remove it. This can be life threatening.

We are taking her to the vet. Will let you all know what happens.
