Dog food as a treat

Are there any problems with giving the chickens dog food wet or dry) as a treat? Mine seem to like the soft kibbbles

Not really, but I definitely suggest staying away from the kinds that have chicken protein in them.

Chicken crack! ZOMG I've never seen chickens go so absolutely insane over anything- not even mealworms. We get the soft stuff in the pouch, plain old beef flavor. They hear that little plastic bag crinkling and they go absolutely nuts, and will swarm me

Even the ones that hate people. Crazy I tell you! I don't think it hurts honestly- it's a little extra protein and fat for them. If it's an every once in a while treat, I don't see the harm.

It is hard for us to keep food out for Mabel, our great dane...they love her dry dog food! We had to start feeding her after the chicken go in!!

The chickens can really eat alot!!

My ducks will go nuts over it. they will attack my dog over it. So i give it to them about two times a week =/- 1
