Dog Food?

I have an EE that comes to the front porch every morning and gets her fill of the dog's food. Any one else have chickens that eat dog or cat food?

With our old chickens, we would throw any cat food that the babies got to and spilled out to the chickens..They loved it..

Oh yeah- if there's any cat food where they can get to it, they eat it up. I wouldn't let them eat too much as there could be too much salt in it. I give mine canned cat food as a very occasional treat, but never too much at once and maybe once a month. I think if they get into every once in a while there's no harm done.

Yeah, mine try to eat the dog food. We have started feeding him smaller amounts throughout the day, so his food is not sitting in his bowl outside.

I throw mine cat food every now and then.

I usually feed my dog with special dry food or porridge for dogs.
