you can give her a bath in epson salts ( no it doest burn) helps draw infection out. gets the dirt out too! make sure she is good and warm though

I've only had my 5 hens for a yr and a half. So I'm still very new at this. I always worry that my Catahoula and Yorkie will get them while my "girls" are scouting the backyard. So I keep my dogs in the house, but there is still a chance one of the dogs could venture out if the door is left ajar by mistake. :0\ My husband let's the chickens out after work to run around and play and bug hunt for an hour every afternoon....after an hour or so they follow him back to the coop. It's so cute!
