Earlier my dog got my chicken.

The skin around her wing is pulled off.
There are no puncture wounds.
She can still walk and swallow.
I am making sure she is getting water so she wouldn't be dehydrated.
Her eyes are still open and blinking. However, when you move her she remains in the position.

I don't particuarly want to take her to the vet b/c it would cost outrageous.

Any suggestion on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

So, i just went to check on her and she was asleep, but she woke up and was startled and jumped out the way.

I would take her in the house in a large dog crate (or put her in a kennel in a warm place out in your barn)...Clean up the wound with warm water...Get some batadine (sp?) and squirt it on...
You will either want to keep it lightly wrapped, or bring her in the house - the maggots are good if they get on her, but I had the problem that they stressed the chicken out and the result was her dying. (there were 2 that got attacked. One made it, one didnt)

Next, get some antibiotics into her..I only did this for about 4 days - not sure the extent of the damage on your girl - mine had her whole rear ripped off...

Basically just keep the wound clean...And she should be good.

I cant offer what to feed her for the extra that she needs, but at least this would be a good start...Hopefully someone will come with more help!

Good hopefully she will slowly get back to her normal self. Eating and drinking are always a good sign. Infection is your next worry. Keep us posted on how she's doing.
Oh did you read about the dog attacking the turkey? That would be a helpful thread too!
