dog got my chicken suggestions?

Many stories of dogs and chickens living in peace together; Yet, my preference is to have the birds in a fenced area away from the dog(s). Dogs can effectively serve as a predator deterent away from the birds and bird poop. Just my 2 cents worth.

Love the idea of living in peace together. I have just discovered the harsh reality. My dog isn't taking to training. We were hoping to avoid more fencing but.. We are adding a yard divider, as well as the shock collar training. Even though I am doing more training differently now I don't think I'll ever be able to trust my 4 legged girls. The instinct to "herd and hunt" is just too great.
