I'd opt to keep the dog out of the chicken run, and keep it more inside the house. You can bathe the dog in Dawn Dishwashing Soap and it will remove everything. Have used it for 21 years on rescue fosters and it does a really good job. It removes all dirt and smell too! I have giant long haired breeds, Leonbergers and Pyrenean Mastiffs, and we bathe them every 3 weeks and blow them dry with a professional dog dryer. The upside to this is if you brush them the day after bathing, you will have no hair in your house. Then just brush them before the next bath. It truly makes keeping dogs worth the work of a bath, but the professional dryer is the secret because it blows all the dead coat out. Most dogs would prefer to be inside with their "mama" anyway. LOL
